Home Machine Quilting Show (HMQS) 2009

The sixth annual Home Machine Quilting Show (HMQS) will be May 7-9, 2009 at the South Towne Exposition Center, 9575 So. State St., in Sandy (a suburb of Salt Lake City), Utah. This years theme was "Pump Up The Color".

The Home Machine Quilting Show is the premier consumer exhibition and hands-on educational show for machine quilters and embroiderers. HMQS features over 100 classes on a variety of quilting topics, a judged quilt competition with nearly $23,000 in cash awards and prizes, special exhibits, a Vendor’s Mall of 175 exhibitor booths, free demonstrations, a "Make & Take" Area, the Friday Night Shopping Frenzy, grand prizes and a quilt display of 500 gorgeous quilts.

I personally had a wonderful time going to volinteer by helping to display many of the quilts, then took some time to walk around with my sister and view the many wonderful quilts, displays and quilted crafts and clothing. I loved see the amazing creative quilts that we entered in this years show. It's inspiring to see what can be created with fabric and color.
